<p> Debora,</p> <p> <span style="font-size:12px;">As Executive Director of the School Facilities Board, I invoke the authority delegated to me by the Board to award Building Renewal Grant funding for a <strong>deficiency correction**</strong> in the amount of (not to exceed) $<span style="background-color: transparent; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Arial; white-space: pre-wrap;">1,496 including a $136 contingency </span>in response to the district’s request <span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Arial; white-space: pre-wrap;">to replace a failed smoke detector in Building 1004 located at Canon Elementary, Canon Elementary School and as a result are on fire watch. Therefore, these monies are being awarded by the Executive Director as authorized by the Building Renewal Grant Policy IX.C., granting authority to award up to $50,000 in Building Renewal Grant funds to a project.</p> <p> The Executive Director will present the application for approval at the next regularly scheduled Board meeting. If the Board votes to not authorize funding, the Executive Director will not authorize any additional expenditures.</p>
